Lung transplants Empty
PostSubject: Lung transplants   Lung transplants EmptyMon Feb 10, 2014 2:15 pm

I caught a little on the news about transplanting smoker's lungs into patients (not necessarily COPD patients) recently, the success rate is seemingly higher than using non-smokers lungs, I did look on-line to try and find the article but could only find negatives and a lot about lung 'washing'???.  Did anyone else see it or hear of it?

Hi Jack someone mentioned that to me, they don't do a lot of lung transplants for COPD patients do they?  I'll see if I can find any more info on it.
